PRISM

Primary Care Reform Intervention-Stakeholder Matrix

Despite the association between primary care and better health outcomes, growing calls for primary care reform highlight the fact that there are still opportunities to improve how primary care services are paid for, organized, and delivered to patients.

There are many paths to this goal, and different stakeholders play different roles in different solutions. Therefore, a holistic stakeholder-solution perspective (i.e., one that systematically categorizes and frames interventions through the lens of stakeholder actionability) is a key element of effective primary care reform.

In a white paper, a team of VSSL members describe the PRISM Framework as one way to adopt such a stakeholder-solution perspective.

The framework can be used by policy, payer, and provider stakeholders when discussing and determining potential primary care reform solutions.
